Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a free-form, curving architectural work designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid. It is considered one of the largest free-form architectural structures in the world. Located on Eulji-ro in Jung District, central Seoul, DDP is directly connected to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (Seoul Subway Lines 2, 4 and 5), making it very accessible.
Inside the building you will find ongoing design and fashion exhibitions and a steady program of cultural events. The smooth, curving aluminum exterior creates distinctive photo opportunities both day and night. At night, the illuminated façade is a celebrated spot for Seoul night views and is especially popular with international visitors who enjoy sharing photos.
From September 3 to 13, 2026, the plaza will host the media art festival "Seoul Light DDP 2026 — Autumn," where visitors can view large-scale media façade works on the building exterior. The facility remains in normal operation; check exhibition schedules and visitor information on the official website (ddp.or.kr).
