G-DRAGON Donates 500 Million KRW on His Birthday to Support 50 Young Artists with ‘JUSPEACE DAY 50’

G-DRAGON, whose influence stretches across K-pop and wider culture, marked his birthday by reaffirming his support for the next generation of artists. On August 18, the JUSPEACE foundation—where G-DRAGON serves as honorary director—and his agency Galaxy Corporation hosted ‘JUSPEACE DAY 50’ at Seoul’s Galaxy Robot Park, backing 50 young artists. The agency donated 500 million KRW to the foundation and provided exhibition space within Galaxy Robot Park to support the selected works and activities.

The project reflects what G-DRAGON has often said he wants to do: create more opportunities for artists and support future generations. JUSPEACE has been actively discovering emerging talent through initiatives such as the SOP contest, which began in December 2025, as well as programs like LOOP PLUS Busan and the ‘JUSPEACE FOCUS’ section at the BAC Art Fair. The 50 young artists chosen through these efforts are now receiving support through this latest program.

Works by the supported artists will be installed as permanent displays throughout Galaxy Robot Park. That means the park will function not only as a hands-on robotics and AI experience center but also as a lasting cultural-art venue where new artists’ work meets audiences on an ongoing basis. In a space where technology and art coexist, these young creators will have the chance to present their work to a broader public.

At ‘JUSPEACE DAY 50,’ visitors can leave messages of support for artists and specific works on a ‘Wall of Hope.’ Selected pieces will also be offered in charity auctions, with proceeds reinvested into public-interest activities that benefit future generations of artists. This cyclical support model aims to build a sustainable creative environment rather than delivering one-time aid.

The event is notable as an example of translating an artist’s cultural influence into social value. It shows how fan culture and public attention can be converted into tangible opportunities and resources—not just consumption. As a platform offering real exhibition opportunities and a meeting ground for audiences and creators, ‘JUSPEACE DAY 50’ may also influence other models of arts support going forward.
