BTS has added another milestone in France. According to certifications published by France’s record association SNEP on August 25, the title track "SWIM" from the group’s fifth studio album ARIRANG was awarded a Gold certification in the singles category, effective August 20. SNEP’s Gold single certification is given to tracks that reach the equivalent of 15 million cumulative streams, combining streaming, downloads, and physical single sales.
With this certification, BTS now has ten singles that have gone Gold under SNEP, joining hits like "Dynamite," "Butter," "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)," and "FAKE LOVE." "SWIM" achieved the certification roughly five months after its release, making it the second-fastest BTS single to reach Gold in France — after "Dynamite," which earned Gold about three months after its August 2020 release.

The album ARIRANG has also been posting strong results in France. It earned a Gold album certification just six days after release, then surpassed 100,000 copies in sales in about a month, earning a Platinum certification in April. That acceleration is notable compared with the roughly 14 months it took albums like MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 and Proof to reach the same level.
ARIRANG’s momentum continues on the U.S. charts as well. In Billboard’s August 29 chart (published August 25 local time), ARIRANG sits at No. 24 on the Billboard 200. The album debuted at No. 1 on the April 4 chart and held the top spot for three consecutive weeks, and it has remained on the chart for about five months. The title track "SWIM" is holding strong too — it ranked No. 5 on the Billboard Global (excluding U.S.) chart, marking 22 consecutive weeks in the Global Excl. U.S. top 5, and reached No. 14 on the Billboard Global 200.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently on their world tour ARIRANG, which began in Goyang in April. The group recently wrapped a stop in Toronto and will meet North American fans next with Chicago shows on Aug. 27–28 and performances in Los Angeles in September. After North America they plan to continue the tour through Latin America, Asia, and Australia.
