KTX ticket booking window extended to two months from October — more languages and easy-pay options added

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Korail announced that, starting October 1, 2026, KTX tickets can be reserved up to two months before departure, extended from the previous one-month window. This change lets travelers plan and book further ahead.

Multilingual support for foreign users will also be expanded. The service, which previously covered seven languages, will add French, German, and Mongolian, bringing the total to 10 languages.

On the payment side, in addition to overseas credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay), convenient payment methods such as WeChat Pay and Alipay will be introduced in phases. Once rolled out, these options will increase the available ways to pay.

In short, the update focuses on three main changes: an extended booking window, added multilingual support, and the introduction of easy-payment options.
